Early County Court record book, opened, with vintage fountain pen County Court Records

During the Civil War Union troops commanded by General William T. Sherman pillaged our Courthouse, destroying County Court records prior to 1858. 

County Court records contain appointment of administrators and guardians; reports of same; wills proved; widow's provisions laid off; road crews appointed; apprentices bound; wildcat/wolf bounties paid; paupers and mentally handicapped provided for; taxes adjusted.
